چکیده

Bioinspired nanocomposites with high levels of reinforcement hold great promise for future, green lightweight, and functional engineering materials, but they suffer from slow, tedious, nonscalable preparation routes, that typically only lead to very thin films. A rapid facile dry powder processing technique is introduced generate bioinspired nanocomposite materials at fractions reinforcements (50 wt%) millimeter scale thickness. The process uses drying vitrimer-coated nanoplatelets (nanoclay MXene) aqueous solution subsequent hot-pressing. As a method choice in industrial lightweight composite engineering, hot-pressing underscores potential translate this approach actual products. use the vitrimer chemistry temperature-activated bond shuffling important facilitate smooth integration into design, leading layered nacre-inspired nanoscale hard/soft order traced by X-ray diffraction excellent mechanical properties investigated using flexural tests. Recycling grinding possible without property loss. compatibility existing techniques, scalable thickness dimensions, recyclability open considerable opportunities translating real-life applications.

Inspection and evaluation of dry fibers in thick composites

This paper presents the investigation of dry fibers in thick composites. Dry fibers can be defined as lack of epoxy in localized regions. These local regions act as potential defects in thick composites under compressive loads and act as an initiation point for defects such as matrix cracking and delamination. Detection and characterization of dryness in glass/epoxy composites, with thickness g...

chemical recycling of polycarbonate waste using conventional heating and microwave assisted method

Clay-Epoxy Nanocomposites: Processing and Properties

The work described in this paper is focused on evaluating the effect of the processing method and nanoclay (montmorillonite) content on the tensile, compressive, and impact properties of clay-epoxy nanocomposites. Nanocomposites are synthesized by two methods: mechanical mixing and shear mixing. Both these methods are capable of producing bulk quantities of clay-epoxy nanocomposites. X-ray diff...

Characterization of Sangan low-grade iron ore and its processing by dry low-intensity magnetic separation

In Sangan iron mine nearly two million tons of low-grade iron ore has been extracted and deposited in the mining site and currently no action is made on them. On the other hand, the mining site is located in the semi-arid region and wet processing has been restricted due to water shortage. In this research, the upgradation of Sangan low-grade iron ore from mine B has been performed by dry low-i...
